Libya has confirmed it will turn away Western visitors to the north African nation unless they provide Arabic translations of their passports.“Libya will not reverse its decision, nor will it take into consideration the international reaction” and uproar triggered by the new restrictions, a Libyan official told AFP.“The West demands that we translate our passports into English and therefore we must act in kind. Gold embroidery was quite a common craft in the world. It was known in the countries of Hellinistic Asia and Western Europe, in the Caucasus, in Turkey and Afghanistan. In Tashkent province archaeologists discovered fragments of gold embroidery dating back to the beginning of the Common Era. According to legends, gold embroidery had been practiced in Sogd even before silk was brought here. The face of one of Egypt’s most mysterious ancient rulers, the boy king Tutankhamum, has been put on public view for the first time this week. His mummy is being displayed in a climate-controlled case inside his tomb in Luxor’s Valley of the Kings. The even comes exactly 85 years after the site was discovered by the British explorer Howard Carter. Only about 50 people are thought to have seen his face since then thought thousands have seen his sarcophagus.
